This is the Blade Daywalker functional sword kit with functional spinning blades in the handle. When assembled. the full length sword is approximately 3ft long. Shipping the assembled sword is cost-prohibitive unfortunately, so this will be shipped in parts. Printed in PLA Pro for the blade and other silver parts, PLA Pro or PLA+ for the black parts. I use AKFix CA glue w/ activator to assemble the handle (there are some parts that need to spin freely that are definitely not glued). Choice of Color - Dull Silver (PLA Pro) - this will be more durable but doesn't have the sheen of the silk PLA. - Shiny Silver (Silk PLA+) - less durable, more shiny. With a dowel inside the blade, it should be reasonably durable unless you strike something with force. What you will receive: - Silver & Black fully assembled and tested handle with internal gear mechanism to work the spinning blades - 4 Blade Pieces with notches for alignment and a continuous hole for dowel insertion. - Instructions for assembly What you will need to supply on your own - 5mm or 3/16" dowel (for rigidity) - wood or steel cut to 31 1/8" long. The 3D model has a hole running the entire length to accept a dowel. This is close to 100% necessary and highly highly recommended. Most likely, these will come in 36" or 48" lengths, so you will need to cut. At my local Home Depot in PA, a 36" length of 3/16" round steel was $3.98. - Superglue or other adhesive. I recommend an activator spray as well, but it's not totally necessary. My favorite is Akfix 705 w/ activator spray. If you want to make it tip-top, you can get some bondo or wood filler to fill in the small gaps between the blade parts. And then prime or paint the blade (pun intended). This is designed by Mystery Makers.
